First Apostles:  Jesus was a really good guy who taught neat things and got clobbered.

St. Paul:  Jesus taught neat things, got clobbered and resurrected.

Arius: Jesus was a really great guy who became a god.

Athanasius: Jesus was God come down to our level and then rose back up.
