Christ hung helplessly on the Cross forsaken by his Father. Until Christians face the fact that their’s is a useless god they will fail to ingest the paressence of their faith.

The desire to turn Christianity into a useful, happy productive thing is simply the heresy of the ego. It is the same mistake as that which leads the useful to count their blessings as if this were somehow different from counting coins.

The reason the poor inherit the Kingdom of Heaven is that there is nothing there.
